At ~ 7:35 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision at the intersection of School Road North and West Windover Court. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters), with 5 firefighters (including Chief 20, Assistant Chief 20, and Chaplain 20) going directly to the scene, and 6 firefighters on station standby. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police, and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the incident. The direct responding firefighters and Rescue 20 arrived on scene to find the Murrysville Police in command of the scene, School Road North closed due to the collision, and Medic 614 EMS assessing and releasing the vehicle occupants. Station 20 firefighters cleared debris from the roadway, assisted the Murrysville Police with traffic regulation, and assisted Gombach Towing with the recovery of both vehicles. Once the vehicles were removed, and School Road reopened to traffic, the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 and the direct responding firefighters for return to service and station.
