2-Vehicle Collision - Intersection of William Penn Highway and Tarr Hollow Road

At ~8:18 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Tarr Hollow Road. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters), with 2 firefighters going directly to the scene, and 3 firefighters on station standby. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the incident. Rescue 20 arrived on scene to find the Murrysville Police in command of the scene, 2 vehicles leaking fluids in the intersection, Station 610 assessing the vehicle occupants, and east bound traffic being diverted onto Old William Penn Highway. Rescue 20's crew remediated the leaking vehicle fluids and cleared the debris from the roadway, while Medic 614 transported 2 vehicle occupants to a local trauma center for further evaluation/treatment. Gombach Towing recovered both vehicles, and the Murrysville Police reopened the intersection for east bound traffic. The Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
