By Secretary Mike Cline
October 22, 2021

At ~9:06 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a utility line that was pulled down by a tractor trailer on Rings Alley. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters), with 2 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police for the incident. Assistant Chief 20 arrived, established the command, and found that the vehicle had pulled down a Windstream Telephone Line, which had been previously downed and temporarily repaired by Station 20 firefighters. Command 20 returned Engine 20, and relayed the utility pole number to Westmoreland 911 so Windstream could send a repair crew to the location. The on scene Station 20 firefighters cleared the telephone line from the roadway and vehicle, and turned the scene over to the Murrysville Police. Engine 20 returned to service and station.
