At ~11:26 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a car running into a tree at the intersection of Scenic Road and Treeline Drive. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters including Sergeant 20), Squad 20 (2 firefighters including Captain 20), with Chief 20 and Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 firefighters on station standby in case additional apparatus was needed at the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the incident. Chief 20 and Assistant Chief 20 arrived to find that a car had run into a large tree in front of a home, the Murrysville Police in command of the scene, and Medic 614's crew was assessing the driver. Rescue 20 and Squad 20 arrived on scene, and remediated engine oil that had leaked from the car, while Medic 614 transported the driver to a local trauma center for further evaluation and treatment. Gombach Towing recovered the vehicle, and the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 and Squad 20 for return to service and station.
