At ~2:05 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at Murrysville Rehabilitation and Wellness. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters), with Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and 3 firefighters on station standby in case additional apparatus was needed. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20: Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC). Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established the command, found no smoke or fire coming from the structure, and returned all stations except for Stations 20 and 610. Truck 20, Command 610, and Command 610-3 arrived on scene, and upon investigation it was found that the structure's AFA system had been activated by a dirty smoke detector. The AFA System was reset, Command 20 turned the situation over to the facility maintenance staff, and returned Truck 20 and all Station 610 units to service and station.
