At ~4:00 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Vincent Hall Drive. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters), Squad 20 (3 firefighters), with 3 firefighters going directly to the scene (including Assistant Chief 20 and Captain 20), with 2 firefighters on station standby. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police for the incident. Rescue 20, Squad 20, and the direct responding firefighters arrived on scene to find the westbound lanes of the intersection partially blocked by the vehicles, with debris and fluids on the roadway, the Murrysville Police in command of the scene, and Station 610 EMS evaluating and releasing the vehicle occupants. Rescue 20 and Squad 20's crews cleared the debris and fluids from the roadway, and Gombach Towing recovered the vehicles. Once the vehicles were cleared and the intersection reopened, the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 and Squad 20 for return to service and station.
