At ~9:56 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to operate a Night Landing Zone in support of Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for an Aerial Evacuation by STAT MedEvac at the Station 20 Fire Grounds on Sardis Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (12 firefighters including Chief 20 and Deputy Chief 20), with the firefighters setting up the Landing Zone and providing Fire/Rescue Services. STAT MedEvac 1 arrived, and Station 610 EMS transferred a patient for transport to a local hospital. Once the aerial ambulance had departed, Station 20 Firefighters collapsed the Landing Zone, and Engine 20 returned to service and station.
