Fuel Fire - Lucknow-Highspire Fuel Distribution Terminal

At ~8:45 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 64 (White Valley VFC) for a report of a fuel fire at the Lucknow-Highspire Distribution Terminal on William Penn Highway. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (6 firefighters), Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Captain 20), Squad 20 (1 firefighter), with 4 firefighters (including Chief 20, Assistant Chief 20, and Deputy Chief 20) going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations for the alarm: Station 22 (Export VFD), Station 30 (Delmont VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC) Station 59 (Slickville VFC), Station 102 (Washington Township VFC), Station 90 (Forbes Road VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), Team 800 (Westmoreland County Hazardous Material Team), and the Murrysville Police for the incident. Chief 20 arrived on scene, finding a fire at the fuel loading island with the facility's fire suppression system extinguishing the fire, positioned the initial arriving units. Chief 20 relinquished scene command to upon Chief 64's arrival. Several firefighters assisted the facility maintenance personnel in halting the leaking fuel. Team 800 (Westmorland County HAZMAT Team) arrived on scene and determined that the area was safe with no chance of a rekindle. Command 64 released all assisting stations including Station 20 for return to service and station.
