Residential Structure Fire - Wedgewood Drive, Penn Township

At ~ 4:01 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 63 (Claridge VFC) for a fully involved structure fire at a home on Wedgewood Drive, in Penn Township. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Chief 20 and Captain 20), with an additional firefighter/driver on standby at the station. Engine 20 arrived at the scene where Command 63 placed Engine 20 into a support position and called its crew forward to assist in the final extinguishment of the fire. The fire was extinguished through the combined efforts of the below listed fire/rescue companies, however the home was a destroyed. With the extinguishment of the fire, Command 63 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
