July 27, 2022

During the evening of 27 July 2022, the firefighters of Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) and Station 22 (Export VFD), started a 16-hour Vehicle Rescue Training Course at Station 20. This course will provide initial vehicle rescue training to the new firefighters, and refresher training to the veteran firefighters. During the session the firefighters used standard cribbing, airbags, struts, and the new auto-cribs to stabilize vehicles before initiating the extrication of entrapped passengers. Further this training is a continuation of combined training program between Station 20 and Station 22, to ensure better coordination between the companies at fire/rescue incidents within the Murrysville-Export Area.
