On 20 June 2023, Randy Marts, a 55-year veteran of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company #1 responded to his final alarm. Randy served in every Line Officer position, including Chief for 12 years, and served as the Company President afterwards for another 9 years. He was mentor to all within the company, especially the junior firefighters. His technical expertise in firefighting and the general trades, ensured that both the fire apparatus and the station remained in working order. His presence will be missed by all within the Murrysville-Export Firefighter Community.
