During the month of June, the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20) responded to 21 Fire/Rescue Calls (including several vehicle collisions) within its Primary and Mutual Aid Areas of Responsibility for a total of 199 Calls during the first five months of 2026. Further the firefighters monitored the yearly Fire Drill at the Rainbow Connection Day Care Center, then gave a fire safety presentation/demonstration to the children. The 2026 Combined Fire Training Program continued with the classes concentrating on Pump Operations and Water Movement. With the advent of summer, the Station 20 Firefighters want to remind all residents to remain hydrated due to the higher summer temperatures, and for all drivers to maintain an increased level of awareness due to higher volumes of summer traffic and variable weather conditions the season. The Station 20 Firefighters remain prepared to provide "First Responder" Fire/Rescue Services not only for the residents, businesses and organizations within the Murrysville-Export Area, but also for its Mutual Aid Response Areas.
