| During the month of August, the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20) responded to 36 Fire/Rescue Calls within its Primary and Mutual Aid Areas of Responsibility for a total of 266 Calls during the first eight months of 2026. The 2026 Combined Fire Training Program continued with the classes concentrating on Pump Operations and Combined Company Operations for structure fires. Station 20 responded to a house fire in Municipality of Murrysville requiring multiple companies for extinguishment, and several automobile collision incidents on William Penn Highway. Further Station 20 participated in the 4 August National Night Out held on 4 August, at the Municipal Public Works Complex. With the conclusion of summer and the reopening of the schools, Station 20 Firefighters want to remind all drivers to be extra vigilant due to the increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the schools. Station 20 remains prepared to provide "First Responder" Fire/Rescue Services not only for the residents, businesses and organizations within the Murrysville-Export Area, but also for its Mutual Aid Response Areas. |
