November 4, 2026

During the month of October, the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20) responded to 49 Fire/Rescue Calls within its Primary and Mutual Aid Areas of Responsibility for a total of 362 Calls during the first ten months of 2026. During the month the company responded to a car fire endangering a residence (quick action by the Station 20 Chief enabled the vehicle to be pulled away from the residence), several automobile collisions, and numerous automatic fire alarms. Further the company participated in the Franklin Regional Homecoming Bonfire, and the Municipal Halloween Night. The 2026 Combined Fire Training Program with Station 22 (Export Volunteer Fire Department) continued with classes on waterflow and equipment familiarization for new members. The Station 20 Firefighters want to remind all motor vehicle operators to remain aware of the changing weather and road conditions as we move into towards winter. Station 20 remains prepared to provide "First Responder" Fire/Rescue Services not only for the residents, businesses and organizations within the Murrysville-Export Area, but also for its Mutual Aid Response Areas.
