At ~ 2:30 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company [VFC]) for a structure fire alarm at 3880 Meadowbrook Road (Mine Safety Manufacturing Complex). Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (4 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), Engine 20 (3 firefighters), with Sergeant 20 going directly to the scene. Due to the industrial location of the alarm, Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), and Station 87 (Harrison City VFC). The incident was an overheated air compressor that had caught fire, and was out when the fire unit (Truck 20) arrived on scene. Lieutenant 20 (Officer in Command) cancelled all enroute units except for Engine 20 and Engine 78. The firefighters conducted a visual and thermal camera inspection of the area, and found no additional fire. MSA was notified of the incident, and all units were released by Lieutenant 20 for return to station. |
