At ~6:23AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company) for a automatic fire alarm at 4121 Sardis Road (Sloan Elementary School). Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 1 fire fighter going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter at Station 20 incase additional equipment was needed. Also dispatched for the incident were Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), and Station 64 (White Valley VFC). Upon arrival at the scene it was found that a RTU duct detector had tripped, and no fire was found. The scene was turned over to the maintenance staff of the school, and Lieutenant 20 released all responding units for return to station.
