At ~4:26 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company) to assist Station 64 (White Valley Volunteer Fire Company) for a residential structure fire at 3475 Hills Church Road. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (5 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), Engine 20 (1 firefighter), with 1 firefighter at Station 20, and Chief 20 responding to the scene. Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 22 (Export VFC-Engine 22-1), Station 78 (Sardis VFC-Engine 78), Station 30 (Delmont VFC-Truck 30), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC-Engine 87), Station 63 (Claridge VFC-Salvage 63), Station 102 (Washington Township VFC - Engine 102), Murrysville Medic One, and the Murrysville Police Department. Chief 64 was in command, and stationed Truck 20 so the 100 foot ladder could be deployed to fight the fire on the 2nd floor of the house. Chief 20 and 22 established the water supply from the nearest hydrant at Chapel Hill and Hills Church to feed E22, T20 and E64. The fire was held to the exterior of the residence. The residence did suffer smoke damage. Station 20 units remained on scene until the conclusion of overhaul and salvage when Chief 64 released all units to return to station.
