At ~9:03 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company) to assist Station 78 (Sardis Volunteer Fire Company) for a Residential Automatic Fire Alarm on Ashbaugh Road. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (5 firefighters including Captain 20, Lieutenant 20, and Sergeant 20), with Chief 20 responding to the scene, and 6 additional firefighters going to Station 20 to man Engine 20. Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 20 (Export VFC) and Station 102 (Washington Township VFC). First on scene; Station 78 found no evidence of fire and was informed by the homeowner that the AFA was tripped due to a battery change within the system. Chief 78 cancelled all units responding to the incident, and Truck 20 returned to station.
