At ~7:56 PM Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company) to extract a person from under a fallen tree at a residence on Haymaker Road. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), Engine 20 (4 firefighters), Service 20 (2 firefighters), with Chief 20 and Captain 20 going directly to the scene. Also dispatched was Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Murrysville Medic One, and the Murrysville Police. Upon the arrival of the Station 20 and Station 64 units, the crews used airbags and cribbing to lift the tree trunk off the patient, and assisted Medic One in preparing the patient for movement to the ambulance, carrying the patient to the ambulance and loading the ambulance. After recovering all rescue equipment used during the incident, Chief 20 released all units for return to station.
