At ~1:50 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a Automatic Fire Alarm at the Murrysville Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (4 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene. Also dispatched to assist Station 20 were Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC). Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, and discovered that one of the residents had accidently activated the center's fire alarm.
