During the morning of 21 October, a Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher Course was held at Station 20 for members of Station 20 (Murrysville VFC), Murrysville Medic One, and Station 170 (Monroeville Fire Company #4). The yearly class provides the firefighters with refresher training on the characteristics of hazardous materials, and the actions needed to detect and remediate hazardous material incidents so the firefighters can effectively safeguard the community.
