At ~5:17 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 87 (Harrison City VFD) for a reported Building/Structure Fire on Wilderness Road, Penn Township. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Sergeant 20) and Squad 20 (Lieutenant 20), with an additional firefighter manning Station 20. Also dispatched to assist Station 87 were Station 7 (Paintertown VFD), Station 9 (Level Green VFD), Station 63 (Claridge VFD), and Station 22 (Export VFD). The first arriving Station 87 unit found that the fire was in the chimney. The Station 20 units were placed in a staging area by Chief 87 upon their arrival due to the restricted location of the home. Once the Penn Township fire companies had controlled the chimney fire, Chief 87 released all Station 20 units for return to station.
