At 9:46 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of William Penn Highway at Gates Avenue. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (2 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), and 2 firefighters including Chief 20 went directly to the scene. The Murrysville Police was already on scene Upon Rescue 20's arrival on the scene. Chief 20 established command upon arrival directed the crew to begin cleaning up the large debris and fluid field. Station 20 crew also assessed the patient prior to the arrival of Murrysville Medic One on the scene and assisted in loading the patient for transport. After removal of the vehicles by local towing services, Chief 20 released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
