At 4:57 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a two-vehicle auto accident at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Andrews Drive. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters) with 3 firefighters (including Captain 20 and Lieutenant 20) going directly to the scene. Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), and the Murrysville Police to the scene. Captain 20 established command upon arrival at the scene, and cancelled the responding units from Stations 64 and 78 after determining that Rescue 20 would be adequate for incident remediation. Upon Rescue 20's arrival on scene, all vehicle occupants had extracted the vehicles and were assessed by Station 610 EMS personnel. Rescue 20's crew remediated any fluids coming from the vehicles, cleared vehicle debris from the roadway and assisted the police in traffic regulation. Upon removal of the both vehicles by a local towing service, and final clearance of the vehicle's debris, Captain 20 returned Rescue 20 to service and station.
