At 12:22 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Windover Road. Station 20 responded with 4 firefighters going to the station to crew Truck 20, and Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene. Westmorland 911 also dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), and Station 78 (Sardis VFC). Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found no fire or smoke coming from the structure, and Command 20 requested that all responding units hold in station. Upon investigation at the scene, Command 20 discovered that the AFA System had malfunctioned during maintenance, and the system was reset. Command 20 cancelled all responding stations, and Truck 20 returned to service.
