By Firefighter Mike Cline
June 6, 2019

At ~ 1:36 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Exquisite Bride on Old William Penn Highway. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 2 firefighters on standby at the station. Westmorland 911 dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Rescue 20 was first on scene, Lieutenant 20 established command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation it was found that the AFA was a false alarm. Command 20 cancelled all responding units, and Rescue 20 returned to service and station.
