At 4:46 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an unattended fire at a residence on School Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 firefighters (including Captain 20) on standby at the station ready to deploy additional apparatus. The Murrysville Police were first on scene, and the officer used a fire extinguisher to limit the spread of the fire. Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 arrived on scene, established command, and directed the crew of Engine 20 in the extinguishment fire using tank water and brush fire tools. Once the fire was extinguished and the area was declared safe, Command 20 returned Engine 20 and its crew to service.
