At ~11:21 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Pine Tree Lane. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 2 firefighters on standby at the station prepared to respond with additional apparatus. Westmorland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Engine 20 was the first unit on scene, Lieutenant 20 established command, and no smoke or fire were observed coming from the structure. Engine 78 arrived on scene, and Attack 64 was staged along Sardis Road. Engine 20's and 78's crews found the home "locked up", conducted an extensive exterior search of the home, and found no smoke or fire within or coming from the home. Westmorland 911 working through the home security company was unable to contact the home owner or the property care taker. After a third exterior search, the home remained secure and no fire or smoke was observed. Command 20 returned all responding units service and station.
