| AT ~ 3:52 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a Carbon Monoxide Alarm (CO Alarm) at a home on North Hills Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters), with Captain 20 going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter manning Station 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) to support Station 20. Captain 20 was first on scene, established command, and ensured that the family had evacuated the home. Upon Engine 20's arrival its crew conducted a primary and secondary sweep of the home's interior using Four-Gas Meters, and found no evidence of Carbon Monoxide within the structure. It was determined that the home CO Detector was defective, and informed the homeowner that the CO Detector should be replaced. Command 20 released Engine 20 for return to service and station. |
