During the Murrysville Farmer's Market, firefighters from Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) and Station 64 (White Valley VFC) conducted an open house that included a training class on the proper employment of a fire extinguisher and a tour of the station - explaining the different fire and rescue equipment on each unit (Truck 20, Engine 20, Rescue 20, Squad 20, and Special Service 64). The fire extinguisher training allowed both adults and children to familiarize themselves with the proper procedures to use in operating a fire extinguisher in the event of an emergency. For the remainder of the Murrysville Farmer's Market Season, Station 20 will be open to the public so the residents of Murrysville and surrounding communities can get a better understanding of the Fire/Rescue Services that the Volunteer Fire Companies provide.
