| At ~ 10:13 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) for a home on Forbes Trail Drive. Station 20 units were departing a Municipal Fire/EMS event, with Truck 20, Engine 20, and Squad 20, Assistant Chief 20, and Captain 20 going directly to the scene, while Rescue 20 returned to Station 20 to pickup additional crew. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (Export VFC), and Station 22 (Export VFC). Rescue 78 and Engine 78 were first on scene, observing no smoke or fire coming from the structure, and Chief 78 established command. Upon investigation it was found that a cooking accident had activated the home's AFA System. Command 78 cancelled all responding units, and all Station 20 units returned to service and station. |
