At ~ 8:26 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Orchard Court. Station 20 responded with 5 firefighters (including Chief 20) going to the station to crew Truck 20, and 3 firefighters (including Lieutenant 20) going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established command, observed no fire or smoke coming from the structure, and upon investigation found that the AFA System had been activated due to a cooking accident. Command 20 cancelled all responding units. Truck 20 remained in service and in station.
