By Secretary Mike Cline
May 20, 2020

At ~10:20 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision on Old William Penn Highway near Dick's Diner. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters), with 3 firefighters (Chief 20, Assistant Chief 20, and Sergeant 20) going directly to the scene. Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police for the collision. The Murrysville Police had command of the scene, and Station 610 EMS were evaluating the vehicle operators upon arrival of Rescue 20 and the Station 20 Officers. Recue 20's crew remediated a small amount of debris and fluid from the vehicles, and assisted in traffic regulation, while Station 610 EMS transported one of the vehicle operators to a local trauma center for further evaluation. Once the vehicles were recovered by McElhenny's Towing Service, the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 and all Station 20 personnel for return to service..
