At ~ 7:35 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a downed electric line near the Franklin Regional Middle School. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter manning the station. Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, and found that a down high voltage line was in the middle of the entrance driveway that leads to the Franklin Regional High School. Command 20 relayed the utility pole number to Westmoreland 911 so West Penn Power could dispatch a repair crew to the location. Engine 20 arrived on scene, blocked the school entrance, and remained on scene until the West Penn Power Repair Vehicle arrived. The scene was turned over to the West Penn Power Technician, and Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station. |
