At ~5:45 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at a home on Fair Oaks Drive. Station 20 responded with 6 firefighters going to the station to crew Truck 20, while Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 went directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established the command, found no smoke or fire coming from the structure, and held all responding units in station. Upon investigation it was found that a cooking accident had activated the home's AFA System. The system was reset, and Command 20 returned all responding stations to service. Truck 20 remained in service and in station.
