January 6, 2021

At ~ 11:39 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of automotive fluid on the roadway at the intersection of William Penn and Old William Penn Highway (Wendy's Intersection). Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), with 4 additional firefighters on standby at the station. Rescue 20 arrived on scene finding the Murrysville Police in command, and finding that a automobile had leaked transmission fluid onto the right-hand westbound lane at the intersection. Rescue 20's crew remediated the fluid, and upon completion the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
