During the evening of 9 February 2021, Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) and the Fire Store demonstrated the MSA G-1 SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) to the membership of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company #1 (Station 20). The current SCBA's on the Station's Fire Units are coming to the end of their life cycle, and will need to be replaced in the foreseeable future. The Murrysville Fire Volunteer Company has historically used MSA SCBAs which are manufactured at MSA's Murrysville Factory. The Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company provides the primary fire/rescue services for the MSA Murrysville Production Facility.
