At ~ 8:41 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Meadow Gate Drive. Station 20 responded with 5 firefighters going to the station to crew the apparatus, and Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene. Assistant Chief 20 arrived on scene, established the command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation Command 20 found that steam from the shower had activated the home's AFA System. Command 20 returned Station 20, and all units remained in service and in station.
