During the evening of 11 May, the firefighters of Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) and Station 22 (Export VFC) conducted a joint training event at the closed Heritage Elementary School on School Road North. The firefighters trained on the employment of ground ladders and Truck 20's 100ft ladder to gain access to the roof of a large multi-story structure. Further the firefighters practiced search procedures of the interior of a large multi-floor/room commercial structure using SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus). This training exercise is part of the ongoing joint training program between Stations 20 and 22, to ensure better coordination at multi-company fire/rescue incidents.
