By Firefighter Mike Cline
January 2, 2019

At ~ 10:06 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a single vehicle accident on Cline Hollow Road. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (5 firefighters) and Squad 20 (Lieutenant 20), with an additional firefighter manning Station 20. Squad 20 was the first fire-rescue unit on scene, and found that an automobile had hit a utility pole, damaging the pole and several utility lines. Lieutenant 20 relayed the utility pool number to Westmorland 911, and requested that West Penn Power and Windstream repair crews be dispatched to the scene. Upon Rescue 20's arrival at the scene, Medic One and the Murrysville Police were on scene, and the car driver was under the care of Medic One. Rescue 20's crew checked the vehicle for leaking fluids and accident area for debris. Upon arrival of the West Penn Power repair crew, the Murrysville Police released all Station 20 units from the scene. Rescue 20 and Squad 20 returned to service and station.
