At ~7:55 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 9 (Level Green VFC) to close Trafford-Murrysville Road at the Turnpike Overpass due to Utility Lines down across the roadway between Ashford Lane and the Turnpike Overpass in Penn Township. Station 20 responded with Squad 20 (3 firefighters), with 3 additional firefighters (including Lieutenant 20) on standby at the station prepared to respond with additional units. Squad 20's crew emplaced barriers to close Trafford Road at Massung Lane (just north of the Turnpike Overpass), and notified Westmoreland 911 of the closure. Squad 20 returned to station once the barriers were in place.
