On the morning of 27 June 2020, Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20), and Sardis Volunteer Fire Company (Station 78), held a joint training exercise. The training consisted of Pump Operator Training, Aerial Ladder and Master Stream Employment, Use of a Tanker for a Water Supply, Relay Pumping, Fire Hydrant Operations, and Attack Line Employment. Joint training exercises allow neighboring fire companies to develop the cooperation and coordination necessary for potential multi-company incidents such as structure or woodland fires, and multi-vehicle highway collisions. Additional joint training sessions are in the planning phase.
