Chemical Smell in Residence - Pheasant Run Road, Penn Township

At ~ 1:19 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 63 (Claridge VFC) for a report of a chemical smell in a home on Pheasant Run Road in Penn Township. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (6 firefighters including Chief 20, Assistant Chief 20, Captain 20 and Lieutenant 20), with 2 additional firefighters on standby at the station ready to deploy additional apparatus. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 63: Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 30 (Delmont VFD), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 7 (Paintertown VFC), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), and Station 106 Grandview VFC). Station 63 and 87 units were first on scene, Chief 63 established command, and found no fire or smoke coming from the structure. Command 63 determined that sufficient resources were at the scene, so returned all units not on scene with the exception of units from Stations 63, 87, 22 and 64. Engine 20 was returned to service and station.
