At ~ 9:56 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of an electrical fire in a residential electrical panel. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (4 firefighters), with 2 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) going directly to the scene, and 3 additional firefighters on standby at the station, ready to crew Engine 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). The first firefighter on scene, ensured that the occupants of the home were evacuated. Assistant Chief 20 established command upon arrival, and found that the electrical fire had self-extinguished. Command 20 returned all responding units except for Truck 20, and upon its arrival, the crew surveyed the home's basement with a Thermal Imaging Camera to ensure that the fire had not penetrated the home's structure. The fire remained localized at the electrical panel. Command 20 returned Truck 20 to service and station.
