At ~ 9:07 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a garbage pile on fire near a home on Lake Ridge Drive. Station 20 responded with 7 firefighters going to the station to crew Engine 20, while 2 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) went directly to the scene. Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found that the residents had put out the fire, so Engine 20 was held in station. After verifying that the fire had been extinguished, Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service.
