By Secretary Mike Cline
March 29, 2021

At ~ 1:31 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm at a home on Forbes Trail Drive. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20 and Sergeant 20), with 3 additional firefighters on standby at the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) to support Station 20. Engine 20 arrived on scene with Assistant Chief 20 establishing the command. The firefighters entered the structure, surveyed the interior with four-gas meters, and found no evidence of carbon monoxide. Upon further investigation, it was found that a CO Detector was faulty. The CO Detector was removed, and the home owner was advised to purchase a new unit. Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
