| At ~1:35 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a low hanging utility line at the intersection of Rings Alley and McCloy Avenue. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters), with 3 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter manning the station. Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established the command, and found a low hanging Windstream Line. Upon arrival of Rescue 20, its crew pulled the telephone line up to clear the roadway. Command 20 relayed the utility pole number to Westmoreland 911, so Windstream could dispatch a repair crew to permanently repair the sagging telephone line.
Once the roadway was clear, Command 20 returned Rescue 20 to service and station. |
