During the evening of 3 March 2022, DEWALT Tools and AMKUS Rescue Systems demonstrated battery powered rescue tools and ventilation fans to the firefighters of Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) at the Station 20 Fire Grounds. The Station 20 is looking to upgrade its ventilation fans and rescue/extraction tools, since several of the current tools are nearing the end of their life cycle. The firefighters were given the opportunity to do hands-on testing of the various tools on several derelict vehicles on the firegrounds. If selected these tools will decrease the time needed to extricate patients from vehicles and give the firefighters additional options on ventilating structures.
