By Secretary Mike Cline
August 1, 2025
During the month of July, the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20) responded to 52 Fire/Rescue Calls within its Primary and Mutual Aid Areas of Responsibility. Thus, the company has answered 350 calls for the first 7 months of 2025. The company continued its 2025 Joint Training Program (with Export VFD [Station 22], Upper Burrell VFC [Station 115], and Larimer VFD [Station 1]) with a course of instruction (Pump Operations II) which emphasized the pump operations and the flow of water from both municipal and tanker water sources. For the month of August, the 2025 Joint Training Program will continue with Engine Company Operations. The firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company remain prepared to provide "First Responder" Fire/Rescue Services not only for the residents, businesses and organizations within the Murrysville-Export Area, but also for its Mutual Aid Response Areas.
