By Firefighter Mike Cline
September 9, 2018

At ~1:44 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for Residential Flooding for a resident on Pleasant Valley Road. Station 20 responded with Service 20 (2 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), with 2 additional firefighters remaining at Station 20 for additional flooding incidents. Upon arrival at the scene, Service 20's crew used a portable pump to remove the water from the basement of the house. Due to the prospect of continued rain for the next 24 hours, the portable was left temporarily with the homeowner as a preventative measure. Service 20 returned to station.
